Electrical Senior Construction Manager
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Senior Construction Manager for our client to lead the delivery of electrical works on large-scale data center construction projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area and later across Finland.
Our client is an international specialist and contractor in critical power systems, operating across Europe. The company delivers demanding electrical and energy solutions, particularly for data center and other mission critical infrastructure projects, covering the full project lifecycle from design to commissioning.
Role Overview
This is a key, site-based manager role where you will be responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, supervising site managers, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. You will drive projects forward in a structured and goal-oriented manner, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
You will play a central role in ensuring client satisfaction, coordinating with main contractors, and making sure that all installation, testing, and commissioning activities are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical construction works in line with project schedules
- Supervise site managers and subcontractors, ensuring performance and progress
- Monitor schedules, resources, and costs, and respond to deviations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards
- Collaborate closely with clients, main contractors, and other stakeholders
- Track project progress, identify risks, and manage mitigation actions
- Coordinate drawings, documentation, and execution (installation, testing, commissioning)
What We Expect from You
You are an experienced Electrical Senior Construction Manager with a strong background in electrical construction and a proven track record of delivering demanding projects. You have a solid understanding of project delivery from scheduling and cost control to safety, and you are confident making decisions under pressure.
We expect you to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in similar senior-level site management roles
- Strong experience in electrical construction, including installation, testing, and commissioning phases
- A relevant technical degree (e.g. BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
- Experience in schedule, resource, and cost management, as well as subcontractor coordination
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Additionally, it is considered an advantage if you have:
- Experience in data center or other mission critical infrastructure projects
- Electrical certifications and hands-on experience with inspections and commissioning
- A solid understanding of HSE requirements and site safety practices
The role requires good Finnish and English language skills, as English is the primary working language and interviews with the client will be conducted in English. A valid EU passport and the ability to travel freely within the EU are also required.
